Translation to Tanyeh

Tanyeh, we learned, Rabbi Yishmael the son of Elisha said: Once (on Yom Kippur) when I entered the holy of holies (in the Bais Hamikdash) to offer up incense, I saw a vision of Hashem, and seated on His exalted throne, He said to me "Yishmael my son, bless me."

I said to Him: "May it be your will, that your mercy should subdue your anger, and influence all your attributes. May you treat your children with mercy, and may you deal with them beyond the letter of the law."

And Hashem nodded His head to me (in agreement).
