V'Hayu is a Hebrew song by American singer Avraham Fried, released in 1982 as part of his album The Time Is Now. The song is composed (and originally recorded) by Shlomo Carlebach and based on the poem written by Shlomo Halevi Alkabetz traditionally recited to welcome Shabbat. This particular stanza is also popularly sung at Weddings.
The song is performed in the Waltz genre, and features the Zimriah Orchestra arranged by Marty Lewinter. The song was produced by Sheya Mendlowitz.
Lyrics
